One of the most affordable Chevrolet's for 1965 was the Corvair. |
1965 Chevrolet Corvair
The 1965 Corvair received more than a face lift from the previous year, it was equipped with more power and more room and hardtop styling. A new 140 hp Turbo-Air engine is available for all models and standard on the Corsa while a 180 hp Turbo Charged engine was also available. The Corvair also features a unitized Body by Fisher, 4-wheel independent suspension, and an air-cooled rear engine. Unfortunately for the Corvair, is was beginning to build a reputation as being unsafe. Along with the fact that it hadn't changed much over the years and the Chevy II was gaining popularity, Corvair sales began to drop.1965 Chevrolet Corvair Specifications
