Chevrolet's 1962 Chevy Corvair came in a wide variety of body styles.

1962 Chevrolet Corvair

With the success from the previous year, not too many changes were made to the Corvair except an upgrade to the interior as well as a revision to the front, side, and rear trim. Its rear engine design claims to lighten the load over the front weelbase making it easy for touch and go steering control. Standrd engines included the 80hp Turbo-Air 145 or the 102hp Turbo-Air 145 complimentary with either the 2-speed Synchro-Mesh, 4-speed Synchro-Mesh or Corvair Powerglide transmission. Standard equipment included front door armrests, dual sun shades, cigarette lighter, automatic choke - for balanced fuel mixture, electric windshield wipers, dual headlights, fold down rear seat - adding 16.5 cu. feet of cargo space and a front trunk with 12.6 cubic feet of space in the Sedan and Coupe.
