Time to get your hands on a black-on-black 'Vette. And not only is this 1978 Chevrolet Corvette a cool midnight machine, but also you have terrific features, like a loaded A/C interior and numbers matching V8 power.
Black Corvettes always have an instant appeal, and it only gets better when they were born this way. This is important to Corvette fans because it was less popular this year than usual. Over three times more people opted for the anniversary cars. So you get added rarity, and it still has the special badge up front reminding you that this was the 'Vettes 25th year. There was a respray later in life, and that added a touch of metallic. So it makes for the ideal look where you have a driver's kind of appearance that also has a little extra pop when you take it out on a sunny day. More than paint, there is more evidence that this C3 has been under good care. The T-top fits nicely, the doors shut solid, the headlight doors line up, the glass is clean/clear, and the weather-stripping is pliable. Brightwork was kept to a minimum compared to previous years, and so you really recognize sporty standouts on this dark coupe like the alloy wheels and dual exhaust tips.
There have been a few key investments inside. The first was an upgrade to black to give this one the full midnight style when the T-tops are out. It's loaded with great features, like leather seats, power windows, a tilt steering column, an electric rear defogger, and cruise control. There are even the little things, like the T-top storage bags, that let you know this has been under detailed care. Plus, there are great upgrades when you want a driver's car. The radio is now an AM/FM unit with USB and Bluetooth, and the factory air conditioning is blowing cold with modern R134a refrigerant.
This Corvette is powered by its numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch small block. The V8 has a nice mixture of stock style with the right signs of good maintenance - including a newer Champion aluminum radiator. It fires up readily as it inhales deeply with the Holley four-barrel carburetor. And it makes the right Corvette rumble when exhaling through the dual exhaust. This is the kind of coupe that's great for driving any time. The fully-independent suspension, power steering, and four-wheel power disc brakes make for a classic that you'll happily enjoy for far more than just quick Sunday drives.
Complete with owner's manual, this is the classic Corvette with a well-done dark style and plenty of the right added comforts. It makes for a great total package, especially at this affordable price. Call today!!!
