4610 Pet Lane
A fresh car with a distinct style headlines this 1970 Volkswagen Beetle. So you'll love the way this one is pure rolling nostalgia, and yet, the paint is also butter-smooth to the touch. That's what a quality classic is all about.
This car is fresh from a restoration in Brazil... and when we say fresh, we mean it looks and feels fresh off the boat. Some of the best restorations for VWs happen in South America these days (after all, they got to live with the Beetle even longer than we did!) And you can see the difference from the moment this car comes into view. It has a beautiful white paint that has the kind of high gloss that will make you think this Beetle is really a porcelain figurine. The style here is even said to pay tribute to the 1970 World Cup in Mexico (white car, red interior, and green tint to the windows.) It has some more terrific details, like the front fender vents, 1300 rear badge, and bright chrome bumpers with overriders. And Beetle fans love the classic solid wheels with whitewalls and smooth hubcaps. There's even the classic wood luggage rack on the rear.
We hinted at the red interior earlier, but you're really going to want to take some time to check it all out. The upholstery is as fresh as the exterior, and so you'll love the supple Ultraleather on the seats and side panels. This has a few well-placed upgrades, like the shoulder belts for the front and rear. But the overall feeling is pure classic VW. That's why you have the thin-grippy steering wheel, smooth steel dash w/bright trim, and the vintage VDO gauges w/separate gas readout.
Part of a complete restoration means the engine bay looks like day-one, too. Fresh wires, fresh hoses, clean inner walls, and a tidy setup really let you know this is a newly rebuilt motor. The full package looks correctly crisp, right down to the decal on the air filter. The air-cooled hum of this 1300-series motor is a hypnotic tune that makes you fall in love with a VW. And you get a good feel for the road thanks to a nimble little car that gives you the control of a four-speed manual transmission.
This is a fresh-looking restored car, right down to the undercarriage. So you have a show-worthy Beetle that you know is going to be a hit at your favorite places. But the only way to take this to the car show tomorrow is to call today!
