This 1965 Ford Falcon Futura has a well-done color combo and all-around well-preserved vintage appeal. It all makes for a classic coupe with a charm that goes beyond its value price.
This is a hardtop classic coupe, and so it really looks good in red. And this is a later application in life, so it retains a nice gloss in the sunshine. Plus, you have all the right brightwork on this complete example, including the wide grille, full trim w/hood ornament, and the full-length tapered side streak that makes this look like an arrow always moving forward. You'll even spot that most of this has a good shine from more recent investment, including the wraparound chrome bumpers. It's a great vintage package, right down to the wire wheel covers. And this really has the kind of straight and clean that tells you this has been treated with respect for decades.
Black interiors always look the best against red exteriors. This was also part of the later color change, and they really did it right. That means the red paint returns on the door tops and dash, and the there's a fresher look on the door panels, seats, and carpeting. It's the kind of quality presentation where you'll love keeping all the windows of this pillarless hardtop down so everyone can get a good look inside. You'll also love showing off the time-capsule like setup. Even the details are nice and vintage, like the stylish Falcon steering wheel, Mustang-style heat/defrost sliders, the AM radio that's still there for display, and the correct trunk mat w/covered full size spare.
This is a distinct classic, and that feeling continues under the hood. The long red valve cover shows of the lengthy block of Ford's 200ci inline six. Sure, we all know there's some nice V8s that fit under there, too. But there's something extra cool about having the correct displacement powerhouse still in the engine bay. Plus, we have a long maintenance file for this motor, and the way it fires up and run reaffirms this good care. A Falcon like this was all about giving you a nimble feeling that also keeps you in touch with the road. But there are also nice relaxed cruising features, too, like the automatic transmission and newer modern tires.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual as well as the maintenance records. This is a well-done all-around classic hardtop, and so at a price like this, you don't want to miss this deal. Call today!!!
