This 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 Sunliner is a classic custom cruiser with a big V8, plenty of old-school flair, and quite a nice price.
The racing-style callout on the fender tells you there there's a big motor within. But you already knew that this was sporty by the shining red paint and Mag-style wheels. Ford had fun with the Galaxie's design in the early '60s. The intricate grille, afterburner taillights, and full-length trim that seamlessly wrapped around the front end made it a standout. And you may have noticed the white accenting on the side. It's a sophisticated way to coordinate with the white vinyl roof. Plus, the big bumpers have a terrific shine. Overall, the low, wide, and sleek look really captured the era and made it timelessly cool.
When you take the top down, the same red and white appealing package continues. So this has a uniform look inside and out, which is exactly what you want on a vintage droptop machine. Even the trunk has been given a custom two-tone to follow the car's theme. As a full-sized Ford, you can share this classic with plenty of family and friends. This has a great vintage feeling everywhere from the artful factory steering wheel to the AM radio that's still cranking out tunes. This one is also made to be a driver's classic, and you see that in details like cleanly installed auxiliary gauge trio.
Pop the hood and you'll see that callouts on the fenders were not lying. The big 390 cubic-inch V8 fills the engine bay with big blue oval muscle. It looks exceptionally honest and possibly original with the Thunderbird valve covers and a large air cleaner. Topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, a motor this size has no trouble giving this full-size Ford some real get-up-and-go. And the dual exhaust makes a powerful sound without losing this car's cruising attitude. Plus, this Galaxie's automatic transmission, power steering, and power convertible top make the total package quite comfortable going down the road.
A cool vintage droptop with a great coordinated color combo and plenty of V8 power. It's amazing it's all available now for under $28k. That's why you know you need to hurry for this one. Call today!!!
