If you like your MOPARS Super Sized, you are in luck! And if you don’t like attention, this is not the car for you. You will find yourself having stoplight and gas station conversations every time you take it out. Personal luxury cruisers from this era cut across cultural and age lines and kids love them too. It sparks a lot of good memories and some have never seen one before. These are not easy to find. It’s a bold machine with a lot of class.
Big muscle cars of this era are still affordable and as the mid-size muscle cars continue to skyrocket in value, collectors are recognizing how cool it is to have something a little more unique.Everybody’s got a Hemi Cuda, so why not be a little different. You don’t have to spend a million bucks to have a good time. Bought from a body man who purchased it from an older lady, she was a long term owner. Clean and clear registration in the Owner's name.
Yes, it needs a repaint, and you might want to stick with the original Blue, but with a black interior and a white soft top, you have options and it would be amazing in Black. Any way you go, this is a very commanding presence and is guaranteed to scare imports within a 20 foot radius. That is approximately the length of this car. It seems to go on forever like the Imperial (also a Chrysler) Star Destroyer in the opening scene from Star Wars. A Newport is sportier.
The Black leather interior is luxurious and spacious. The trunk is the size of a New York apartment. Amenities at your disposal include power steering, power brakes, power seats and air conditioning. You will roll in style and comfort and with the top down you are unlimited and one with the environment around you whether cruising through town or out on the open highway. Surrounded by acres of Detroit Iron your journey will be a safe one.
6.5 Liter 300hp Firepower 383 V8 with Edelbrock intake and 4-bbl carb is mated to a TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic. Chrome tipped dual exhaust provides a mellow rumble that alerts automobiles of lesser stature to your presence. You have plenty of power to move this 19-footer at a brisk pace. The ride is smooth and stable and you will own whatever road you take. Take 5 of your closest friends to dinner or a weekend road trip. Luggage is no problem.
Front clip from a donor car is in great shape. Safety features include seat belts and 4,200 lbs of steel (the weight of a new Challenger). Undercarriage has surface rust and the body has a couple of spots in the lower areas, but is super straight. The original leather interior has light wear, dash has seen some sun. A/C needs charge. New radiator. Original air cleaner is included. Engine, transmission, brakes, suspension are sound. Top has glass and works fine.
If you have the garage space for one of the largest MOPARS ever created, you can roll in style. Full Sized Muscle is coming on strong in the market and a drop-top with a 383 under the hood makes it one very unique and enjoyable ride. The saying is, “When the top goes down, the price goes up”. It’s an investment being offered at a very affordable price and is one you can personalize to taste. Don’t miss out, you may not see another one for a long time.
