Fun, fun, fun! This car gets attention. People (especially women) are drawn to it, want their picture with it. As a matter of fact Carrie Underwood wanted a picture by the car. It was a professional photo shoot for a magazine and used in a video. She signed the visor, pictures and the magazine are included. It is in endless demand for parades. It has been used in several homecomings and proms, Chocolate City parade, 4th of July parades, Thanksgiving and Christmas parades in Milwaukee and Chicago. It has hauled prom queens, politicians, a mayor and Miss America. It was a participant at the Mustang 40th anniversary celebration at the Nashville Superspeedway. The point I'm trying to make is this car is a people pleaser. It creates a fun atmosphere anywhere it goes.
I sold this car to the current owners in 1989, 30 years ago! It is just as I sold it them. Other then maintenance, recent tires, it is just I sold it. They had a great time with it.
EXTERIOR: It's the same paint that was on the car when I sold it to him 30 years ago. It is holding up real well which means the body is clean. It's straight, the doors fit real. The chrome and trim is very good- straight and shiney. White convertible top is also 30 years old and still in very good shape, has 1 small pinch.
INTERIOR: Good condition. The upholstery is very nice, the dash area is excellent. Door panels are good. Still has original carpet! Has Pony floor mats and seat belts.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It's not pretty but really it's in very good shape. It's all stock, original air cleaner, valve covers, manifolds etc. Everything is orderly, the metal is clean and smooth, it is not caked in grease. The motor runs smooth. 1 day of masking and painting can make it look great.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Trunk is solid. Has plaid mat, spare and a bunch of extras like literature, pictures, misc parts.
UNDERSIDE: Rock solid virgin metal. The floors, framerails and torque boxes are untouched factory metal in really great shape.
This car is consigned to us by the same person I sold it to. It could really benefit from good detailing. A weekend of elbow grease will bring it to another level. Scrub the top, buff the paint and paint the motor and it will be $5,000 more valuable. It's great the way it is, people love because it's a pink Mustang convertible!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
