This 1966 Chevrolet Nova wagon would be cool if it were stock. But throw in a modern 5.3 liter V8, 4L60 automatic transmission, 4-wheel power disc brakes, power steering and A/C and you've got a one of a kind restomod! The body remains virtually stock except for a cowl hood, front spoiler, a shorty antenna, tinted windows and 17" Rev wheels. Those touches give this car a muscle car look and let everyone know it's not your typical grocery getter. The Corvette emblems on the fenders are a big tip that there is more power under the hood now than Chevy ever thought about in 1966! A mildly built LS 5.3-liter V8 engine runs to a 4L60E automatic transmission and then out back to a set of 3.38 gears making this a great highway cruiser. Other upgrades include a Larry's Electric harness, Holley oil pan, CPP exhaust manifolds running to true dual exhaust, and Champion aluminum radiator to keep the engine cool. The front end is a Mustang II from CPP with tubular upper and lower control arms, rack and pinion power steering and dropped spindles to give this Nova an aggressive stance. 4-wheel power disc brakes bring it to a stop in a hurry and look great behind those retro 5 spoke wheels. Inside has blue vinyl bucket seats, a custom center console, modern AM/FM/AUX radio with plenty of speakers and a small Rockford Fosgate sub in the back. A Helix chrome tilt steering column has been capped with a custom black steering wheel that is comfortable and looks very cool. Custom modern style Dakota Digital gauges tie everything together nicely with blue backlighting. Seat belts and a Vintage Air slimline A/C system finish off the interior to make it comfortable and safe for you and your passengers. This Nova would look at home on the beach, doing the Power Tour, running weekend errands, or just hitting local car shows.
