The 1994 Pontiac Trans Am 25th Anniversary model is the first iteration of the third generation, It's the car that Motor Trend Magazine called “the start of the modern muscle car era“ and it is up for auction. Seldom do you have a chance to get the car you want to complete your collection. and, it is in close-to-perfect shape.
One Owner, completely original. Purchased brand new from Peterson Pontiac in Valpariaso, Indiana in 1994. Garage kept every day since purchased. Never seen rain, let alone snow and always covered with a fleece car cover. Our Owner, a Master Mechanic for 25 years, drove it lightly for the first two years, then a few times a year to keep the seals tight and everything lubed, after that, back in the garage and covered. And, with only 3,520 miles to back it up.
One thing that is not original on this Firebird is the curb height. The car has been lowered 2 inches via Eibach replacement springs on all 4 wheels. The contributes to its overall stance, street cred and sex appeal. Original Bright White paint with all of the correct, original factory badging, Tyrol Blue racing stripe and accents, and the iconic Trans Am eagle decal on the hood grace the flowing lines of this Detroit dream. Spotlights frenched in to the front bumper, the large functional spoiler in the back and T-TOPS round out the exterior. Glass, door handles, seals - all in excellent condition. T-Tops fit and seal correctly. American Racing wheels and tires are on the car now- and the original Trans Am wheels and tires, bagged up and sealed away with about 1,500 miles on them are included with the sale of the car.
To follow an exterior like this Trans Am has, you need a special interior to compliment it. The Great Fathers in Detroit did not disappoint. The grey and white interior is highlighted by the sculpted, race-inspired bucket seats up front and a bench seat in the back- all covered with sumptious, buttery white leather. The seat have been ventilated for comfort in all seasons. Our owner says that the back seat may have been used once or twice. Pristine. The dash, all of the instruments, the steering wheel, carpet and console - all in excellent condition. Everything works. Two-tone and looking sharp.
Our White and blue beauty is powered by the venerable LT-1 5.7 Liter (350 cubic inch) V-8 engine producing 275 HorsePower and 325 Ft. Lbs of torque. A very strong motor, original and in excellent condition, it transmits power via the 4-speed automatic transmission. It is the 4L60-E transmission introduced for the first time in this model year. Power goes to the wheels via a 3:23 ratio differential which allows the vehicle to cruise comfortably at freeway speeds all day long. Brakes, suspension, undercarraige-all functional like new. After all, there are only 3,500 miles original miles on the car. Even the exhaust pipes are still shiny.
Our Lemon Squad inspector found a car with all belts, hoses, fluids...all correct and in excellent condition. An enjoyable test drive found that the transmission shifted as designed with no harsh engagement or slipping. The steering was responsive and the suspension was firm. The vehicle handled well and there were no abnormal vibrations or odd noises. The brakes were firm with no pulsation felt.
This is one of the cleanest examples of a late-model production car that you will see and with only 3,500 miles there is clearly much road left to travel. This one is one distinctive, powerful, car that will raise eyebrows everywhere you go!
