#s match 327. Factory cold a/c, power steering and brakes. Sold new to James Gass of Chatanooga. It has the first 12 years of Chattnooga inspection cards. It has lived in Tennessee until I just plucked it out of there. Also included is the glovebox pouch, warranty booklet, build sheelt and owner's manual. Not nut and bolt restored, but a very clean and honest Malibu.
EXTERIOR: Very clean original metal. The bottom of the fenders and doors are clean. It has the original quarter panels, it even has the factory spot weld dimples on the lower quarters which is something you never see. I literally just opened the door with one finger on the button. The doors click shut. All the panels fit square and flush. The body us straight. I bought this car at a show in Tennessee, I could tell from several feet away the body was exceptional. That is why I was drawn to it. It was completely repainted. It is very smooth with no significant issues. It is painted gloss black on the bottom. All the chrome and trim is original. It is straight, and dry. Still shiny with gentle wear. The windshield looks like it's new. The vinyl top looks like it's been replaced. New weatherstrips. It is dressed up with a set of 15x8 rally wheels that has all new trim.
INTERIOR: Very nice blue interior. Headliner and visors are very good original, dome light works, mirror is excellent. Door panels are excellent, upholstery is excellent, carpet looks new. Dash pad has been replaced. It has a deluxe steering wheel. The instrument panel is good original. They did instal a modern Pioneer stereo and 6x9 speakers in back. Also has a gauge cluster down below. It has GM seat belts front and back.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has it's numbers matching 327-275 hp 4 barrel motor. Claimed to have been rebuilt and it looms like it was. The motor was apart when painted. The carb was upgraded with a new Edelbrock with electric choke. The distributor, cap and wires look new. The motors is painted very neatly. Nice looking finned aluminum valve covers. Factory air conditioning system works, it's been updated to R134 freon. It also features power steering and brakes. The clutch fan and shroud look proper. The alternator and wiper motor looks new. Squirters are hooked up. Overall very proper, clean compartment.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: All clean original metal. I looked with a flashlight at the 1/4s. No splices or cuts. Respatter painted. Under the lid and the jamb are painted glossy, the seams are clean. New weatherstrip. It has complete jack and spare bolted down.
UNDERSIDE: Appears to be very clean, dry original metal. Looking up at the motor it is clean, the freeze plugs were recently installed. Has Powerglide automatic. Original 3.36 rear end. A dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers sounds great. Upfront it has some new bushings. Air shocks in back.
Not every Chevelle needs SS emblems. A nice, clean Malibu is nice to see too. Honest car with great features!
