 Vehicle Description
Up for sale in our Tampa showroom is quite possibly the most iconic muscle car ever, the 1967 Pontiac GTO. Only a few cars in automobile history have ever garnered so much popularity during their first generation, as this Pontiac GTO for sale. From a stunning start as an option for the Tempest in 1964 to an iconic end of the first generation in 1967, Pontiac GTO remained a history maker.
This numbers matching Goat, is a sight for sore eyes. This 67 GTO for sale was fully restored just over two years ago. The drivetrain was fully rebuilt and has just under 3,000 miles on the build. The 400 cubic inch V8 engine stares you in the face as you open the hood. The standard engine for 67, yielded 335hp @5200 rpm, with a torque rating of 431 ft tq @3200. Since a multiple carburetor system was no longer a possible choice, it was replaced with a Rochester four barrel carburetor. The 400 was rebuilt with minor upgrades such as: New performer intake, Holley double pumper carb, starter, alternator, Pertronix ignition parts, and Mickey Thomson valve covers. Though some accessories have been swapped out, all the original parts also come with the car, making it easy for the purist to swap back to a purely original powertrain. The three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic TH400 shifts heartily and takes the big block V8s torque, with ease. The power is laid down through a cruiser friendly 2.93 geared rear end. The car runs like a dream and is a blast to drive! The full, body on, restoration didnt stop with the drivetrain. The vehicle was stripped, straightened, and painted in the original color of Montreux Blue. The exterior is clean and of original quality. The interior is a 60s throwback. Once you sit in the drivers seat, youre thrown back to 1967! Options on this Goat for sale include; A/C, AM/FM, Leather interior, Power steering, Power brakes, Seat belts, Performance radial tires, Rally wheels and numbers matching with Pontiac Historical Society paperwork.
