 Vehicle Description
Stk. 1812 1964 Chevrolet Impala

Chevrolet fans who can remember back to the sixties will acknowledge that cruising around with the top down didnt get much better than when driving a 1964 Impala. It was after all the most expensive car in Chevys line-up at the time right up until 1965. This particular 3rd Generation Impala with 30,900 original miles exemplifies that tradition. Resplendent in Silver Blue (FA912); this highly optioned Impalas body was stripped down to bare metal and given a fresh, two-stage base-coat clear-coat finish approximately two years ago along with a new convertible top, all new exterior trim and new chrome bumpers. No less attention was paid to its beautiful and stylish interior, as the original Blue Vinyl (836B) it once sported was replaced with a new interior kit and carpeting as well. Two standout options on this Impala have to be the Autronic Eye (headlight dimmer) mounted on the upper right hand of the dashboard and its Cruise Control system, which were very rare features for the period. Other notable options included are factory air-conditioning, power steering and power brakes. This is truly a car that was designed to pamper its driver and occupants with everything that was available at the time. Motivating this drop-top is a rebuilt, 327 cubic inch 300 horsepower small block, connected to a two-speed Power-Glide transmission and 10 bolt, 3.08:1 rear end. Beneath this rust free cruiser you will find a nicely detailed undercarriage where all four drum brakes were renewed along with the exhaust and fuel system and four new 205/75/R14 Michelin tires. So if its tops-down suburban cruising youre after or exploring the call to the open road that you crave, this Impala is ready to reward you with new memories in an old school way.
