 Vehicle Description
If you want a musclebound Chevelle, you can track down some old heap and restore it, making it just what you want. Or you can simply come in and buy this 1971 Chevelle thats already got all the good stuff and costs about half of what it would take to build it yourself.

Big bad black Chevelles never go out of style, and while 1971 wasnt the peak for performance from the factory, today they can be fortified with the nastiest powerplants ever devised. Many fans also prefer the 1971s single headlight look, which seamlessly blends with the rounded A-body shape. Anyone who paints black will be the first to tell you its hard to hide any issues, and for a driver-quality resto, this is one you can be proud of at the local cruise night. Its not perfect, but the shine is brilliant and believe me, nobodys going to argue with a car that looks like this, especially not with a big block under the hood. White stripes, a cowl-induction hood with pins, and SS badges are additional warning signs that this is not a car to be trifled with on the street. Chrome bumpers, nice stainless trim, and those four round taillights out back are every bit as distinctive as the engine note.

High back buckets, a center console, and a horseshoe shifter are the highlights of the nicely refinished interior. Correct reproduction seat covers give the Chevelle an upscale look thats also quite comfortable, and the wide back seat is good for road trips. Factory gauges are recessed deep in round nacelles while auxiliary gauges for temperature and oil pressure, plus a tachometer, have been installed down low where the guy next to you wont see them. Our favorite horseshoe shifter lives between the seats and the new carpets are protected by matching black floor mats with embroidered Chevy bowties. Its quite possible that the door panels and dash pad are nicely preserved originals and even the factory AM radio is still in the dash. Pop the trunk and youll find a correct replacement mat and a full-sized spare tire, just in case.

But you and I both know the reason we love Chevelles is because their engine bays are big enough to handle the biggest of big blocks. In this cars case, its a brutal 454 cubic inch V8 with goodies from all the big names. Holley supplied the carburetor, theres a torque-building aluminum intake, and an HPI ignition system to light the fires, and its all coated in Chevy Orange with lots of chrome dress-up. Power steering and brakes mean that having that big chunk of horsepower over the front wheels isnt a chore to drive, and the quick-shifting TH400 3-speed automatic snaps through the gears with authority. Theres also a 12-bolt out back, durable enough to handle the big blocks power, and with twin Flowmaster mufflers the soundtrack is like an angry god is chasing you. Classic SS wheels with charcoal gray centers and polished rims are one of the factorys better-looking wheels whose look will never go out of style. Staggered tires measuring 205/70/15 up front and 235/60/15 in back give it just a bit of rake.

This is already the Chevelle you were planning on building for yourself, all finished and ready to enjoy. All you need to do is pick up the phone and call.
