1972 Pontiac GTO
No longer a model of it's own, the 1972 GTO reverted back to an option on the LeMans and Lemans Sport, costing just $353.88 and was available for style # 2D27 and 2D37. The GTO Judge was discontinued along with the convertibles. The largest change was in the engine options and power ratings. Dropped dramaticly from the former legends, performance seekers where now faced with a 400 V8 rated at 250 horse. Standard equipment included a 400 cu-in V8 with a 3-speed transmission performance dual exhausts and air extractors. Production was down to 5,807 produced.1972 Pontiac GTO Production Numbers and Specifications
