1963 Dodge Truck Line-up

Appearance remained the same for 1963 Dodge pickups as 1962 models. With minimal changes made, Dodge Truck had one of its best years since 1952. Standard engine and transmission was a 140hp slant six with a heavy-duty 3 or 4 speed manual transmissions. The standard transmission came with wider gear teeth for longer life and is the equal of heavy duty transmissions. Heavy duty cab construction makes the structure permanently rigid, roof rails, door posts, windshield posts, step wells and cab back. The Dodge Sweptline comes in 2 model, a 6.5 on a 114" wheelbase and a 8 foot box on 122" wheelbase. While the Dodge Utiline pickup comes in 3 models, a 6.5, 7.5 and a 9 foot box with up to 66 cubic feet of cargo space. Utiline pickups were set on a D100, D200, and D300 chassis with either the Dodge 140 hp Slant Six engine or the optional 200 hp V8. Models D100 and D200 have a drop frame to lower the cab. Model D300 has a frame with straight side rails. The Dodge Tradesman comes in 2 models with max GVW ratings of 5,100 and 7,500 lbs both on 122" wheelbase. The body is available with either two or three lockable, weatherproofed compartments on each side while the center loading space of 72 cubic foot capacity. Dodge Town Wagon comes with removable seats and a double rear door proving itself to be a handy and versatile vehicle. The Dodge Town Panel is similar to the Wagon and carries 155 cubic feet of cargo on a 114" wheelbase.
