This rare 1972 Buick Skylark Sunroof Coupe has been tastefully customized with many upgrades throughout. It was the product of a frame off nut and bolt restoration. It’s in show quality condition throughout. From the information gathered the body retains all the original sheet metal and is very straight. A GS 455 Ram Air hood, GSX front chin spoiler and GS 455 rear spoiler was added. It sports beautiful red paint with a white rollback sunroof top. All of the glass is new throughout. The car has a great stance on 18” US Mag 10-spoke wheels with Nitto NT555 G2 tires. The black, white and red interior is equally as beautiful. Some interior features include a new cluster including RPM gauge, tilt steering wheel, air conditioning, Retrosound system and custom bucket seats. The engine compartment is nicely detailed with many upgrades. It’s powered by a rebuilt 455/350HP V8 with Stage 1 cam and functional Ram Air system. The engine breathes through a custom dual exhaust system with Pypes mufflers and electric cut outs. It’s equipped with an aluminum radiator and a CPP quick ratio power steering box. The Turbo 400 automatic and 10-bolt Eaton Tru-Trac POSI rear end with 3.42 gears was rebuilt. The undercarriage is nicely detailed with many upgrades. The exterior of this car is in beautiful condition throughout. This car was the product of a frame off nut and bolt restoration. From the information gathered this was a rust free car prior to the restoration so it retains all the original sheet metal. During the restoration a GS 455 Ram Air Hood, GS 455 rear spoiler and GS 455 dual sport mirrors were added. The body is very straight with good gaps throughout. The car was re-painted in its original shade of red which dresses this body style very nicely. The paint is show quality and has been detailed to a show quality shine by MS CLASSIC CARS. The red paint is complemented by a white vinyl top that rolls back for the sunroof. All of the glass is new throughout and crystal clear. Everything on the exterior was restored or replaced such as the window trim, wipers, front bumper, door handles, fender trim, rear bumper and emblems. The GS emblems are on the grille, fenders and truck. The Sun Coupe emblems are on the rear quarters. MS CLASSIC CARS added a new front GSX chin spoiler and lower side moldings with red stripes. MS CLASSIC CARS also painted the front grille and headlight buckets black to match the hood vents and rear tail light panel. The car has a great stance on 18” US Mag 10-spoke wheels with matte gray centers, polished lip and Buick logo center caps. The wheels are wrapped with Nitto NT555 G2 tires that are 245-40-ZR18 on the front and 255-45-ZR18 on the rear. This is one great looking early 70’s muscle car!
The black, white and red interior of this car is also in beautiful condition throughout. The black trim is found on the headliner, dash, steering wheel, door panel and center console. The white trim is found on the door panels and seats. The red is found on the door panel and carpeting. The simulated wood on the dash, door panels and center console adds a touch of class. Everything has been restored or replaced such as the dome lights, sun visors, rear view mirror, dash, gauge cluster, door sill plates, door panels, door hardware including driver’s side mirror control, pedals and center console with horse shoe shifter and storage compartment. The dash gauges are crystal clear and include an RPM gauge. Some interior upgrades include Equus water temp and oil pressure gauges, tilt steering column with billet levers, Deluxe Sport steering wheel, R134 converted air conditioning, Retrosound stereo system with upgraded speakers and the custom front bucket seats which are contoured seats but upholstered to match the original.
