Triple-deuce carbs, four-on-the-floor, and an outstanding restored look on this 1959 Chevrolet Impala is a head-turning classic with everything that makes this era in classics so great. So if you want to be the benchmark that others use, read on.
The Impala was an all-new design in '59, and the front end was one of the most distinctive to date. But there's so much more that's grabbing your attention on this classic. The factory-correct Crown Sapphire paint has been given a professional respray with an added hint of metallic. So there's a radiance about it that will get noticed from blocks away. This is part of a comprehensive restoration that brings extra gravity to a Chevy that was already quite special. The car is a visual delight with awesome details everywhere you look. Check out the chrome grille and bumper combo that dominates the front end with brightwork and even wraps around the sides. That leads the way for this lower, wider, and longer '59 Chevy. The hardtop profile with wraparound glass front and rear makes the top-of-the-line Impala look fast standing still. The same goes for the sporty full-length side trim and upgraded Cragar SS wheels. But the piece we all marvel at the most is the trunk. The deep "V" channel that also forms the tailfins was one of the most daring looks ever put to sheetmetal, and this was an exclusive design for '59.
Colorful interiors were the Impala's calling card. The turquoise on the seats and door panels nicely complement the exterior. Plus, there's something undeniably stylish about the tri-tone cloth seat inserts (especially how those colors are used for an accent around the rest of the interior.) The result is the kind of specialty work from the factory we just don't see today, so it's great to have it so nicely restored and presented. In fact, this well-coordinated total color package inside and out is exactly what you want on a pillarless hardtop, because it's so easy for people to see it all. This is a full-sized coupe, and so there's plenty of room for family and friends. But this is also a true driver's classic. The two-tone dual-spoke jet-age inspired steering wheel is beautifully finished, and beyond that, the full round gauge package is downright European. Plus, the correct-style horizontal tach on the dash and the shifter on the floor are an instant reminder of something special under the hood.
While they took the time to make everything tidy in the engine bay, you know all the enthusiasts are just going to go straight to those three bright air toppers. That's the unmistakable look of tri-power. The triple set of dual-barrel Rochester carburetors made you the king of the streets, and so it's nice to have it sitting on top of an era-correct 348 big block V8. It fires up nicely with a rumbling tone from the dual exhaust. And you have complete control over this V8 and its powerful soundtrack thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. And as you go through all the photos, don't forget to look at the undercarriage. It has the clean look that tells you how thorough the restoration was, and it the same time, the freshness gives you confidence in the drive.
This is the one that checks all the right boxes for an award-worthy and memorable classic. So if you love the best from the beginning of the muscle car era, don't miss this triple-deuce. Call today!!!
