1934 Ford Coupe Custom
Popular among crooks and police, the 1934 Roadster could get away from, or catch, anything out there at the time. In a letter to a surprised Henry Ford, famous bank robber Clyde Barrow wrote: "I have drove [sic] Fords exclusively when I could get away with one. For sustained speed and freedom from trouble the Ford has got ever [sic] other car skinned and even if my business hasen't [sic] been strictly legal it don't hurt enything [sic] to tell you what a fine car you got in the Ford V-8."
For this custom hot rod consignment, the word "getaway" is an understatement. It would be more appropriate to call it a "getaway and be totally gone" car. Sporting a 502ci GM crate engine with fuel injection and throw in a 671 VVC Chevrolet blower, and you will have your hands very full.
A flawless lightweight fiberglass 1934 3-Window Ford Coupe reproduction from Gibbon's that has been painted with 3 coats of black and 4 coats of lacquer is simply a stunner. Everything about this car is completely high-end custom, and one really has to see it in person to appreciate it. A Gibbons 33 Ford Grille announces this cars visual arrival, although you will be able to hear it coming your way for many miles. Billet Specialties 18 x 6 on front and rear 20 x 10 wheels wrapped with Continental radials keep this beast firmly planted to the ground.
Feast your eyes on the newly recovered custom red leather buckets, and door panels. They are all in near perfect condition and barely broken in. Same with the contrasting black carpet, gloss black painted metal dash with a smattering for gauges, and power buttons. Gaze upward and you'll find a matching stitched leather headliner. The center console houses the power window, power trunk release, power hood release buttons, and the long arm gearshift lever.
An F1 Tech fuel injection system with a VVC 671 Chevrolet blower, rests atop a 502ci Chevrolet crate mill. Couple this to a 6-speed Tremec manual transmission, and really what more could you ask for?...OH yes how about custom painted and pinstriped valve covers, and some leather padding thrown in just for kicks.. mind you this is in the engine bay!
A SAC Hot Rod Products frame holds all this power and glamour together and is flawless underneath. A Heidts front suspension, and an 84 Vette rear suspension with an 84 Vette rear, you will be able to handle any power coming from the front with no breakage problems. Throw in adjustable coil overs on all 4 corners, lots of chrome, and you have a rocket ship that handles.
A car that has undergone 2 high end builds, all are fully documented. The latest made improvements over even the first, and now we have a real showpiece. Tons of interior LED lighting, red leather abounding throughout the interior, and a perfect multicoated black exterior with lots of chrome added for that special sparkle. If you have a soft spot for real luxury with awesome power, make your way to Classic Auto Mall where we are sure this beautiful rod can scratch all your itches.
