This 1989 Honda Prelude is a true representation of a car you've always loved. It was the mix of nimbleness and reliability all put in a sleek coupe. And you know finding one that remains looking this stock, and it's loaded with the best features, means you've found a terrific import classic.
The Prelude had arguably one of its best looks ever in this generation. Sporty hidden headlights up front, a very BMW-like profile, and nice details, like an integrated spoiler in the trunk. You see all that so well today because this example remains looking highly stock. There are a few of the usual areas that may need updating, like the bright red paint has spent some time in the sun. But overall, it's amazing to find such a straight and clean one where the fundamentals have never been altered, and it doesn't look like it spent its midlife in a high school parking lot. In fact, while you could easily find an example that has gone 200k miles, this one has averaged less than 2,600 miles annually.
The interior especially reflects the car's less use and well-respected style. The full dark package looks great against the exterior red. The smooth dash, taut door panels, and soft velour upholstery are all a testament to both the quality of the materials and the care this one has received. This has all the best features like air conditioning, a power sunroof, power windows, and an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo with USB and Bluetooth (the factory radio also comes with the sale.) And the contouring of the bucket seats, the grip of the steering wheel, and the full instrumentation all really let you know this is a driver's car.
Honda built its reputation on its engines, and so you get excited when you see a clean and well-maintained example like this. The 2.0-liter fuel injected motor is both sturdy and peppy, and so it makes for an ideal driver's classic. And with the fully independent suspension, nimble power steering, and four-wheel disc brakes it really feels like a sports car on your favorite backroads. And the cruise control and four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive makes this classic great for the long haul, too.
If you love a great Honda, you know one in this condition and mileage is a true rarity. So don't miss your chance, call today!
