DESCRIPTION
This 1949 Ford Custom tudor sedan has a true street machine level of flair with a ton of custom elements, a terrific color combo, and a triple-deuce stroker flathead V8. And if you\'re wondering where you may have seen this one before, it\'s because this has some serious star power from a 2014 TV restoration. So this might just be the coolest \'49 you can get your hands on right now.
They called this one Project Banana Split. But if you\'re a fan of the show Detroit Muscle on Powernation TV, you already knew that. Its restoration is well documented on the TV show, so it\'s a star car and you really know what kind of work went into it. The car earns its nickname with the Go Bananas yellow on the main body, and the roof was done in Milk White. It\'s a high-quality application that shows little use, and that makes it quite alluring. Plus, all the trim is shaved, right down to the door panels, and a terrific set of custom fiberglass fender skirts was added. So this one looks extra-sleek in the sunshine. This has all the best classic pieces that make for a great 1950s machine, like the two-piece windshield, wraparound bumpers, and wide whitewalls. And the ionic chrome bullet nose grille is shining bright. But what will always set it apart are all the custom details. The louvered hood, \'56 Ford headlights, one-piece rear side glass, frenched license plate, and blue-dot tail lights are all part of this unique style. And yes, it still has the main components for the flame throwers on the dual exhaust!
The red interior is a bold choice. It\'s like the strawberry topping for your banana split. The interior was done right with new materials and plenty of modern sound insulation. And the tuck and roll upholstery, Cadillac steering wheel, and suicide doors are terrific hot rod custom touches.
You may use the value price to leave room in your budget for a custom tuck and roll headliner or a cool resto-style radio, but those are side items that are about personal finishing touches. The overall condition is bold, clean, and impressive right from the start.
One of the hallmarks of Detroit Muscle is building seriously sweet powerhouses. They started with a classic Flathead V8, and stroked it to an impressive 304ci. Then they added Edelbrock finned heads and topped it with a triple set of Edelbrock dual-barrel carburetors. You\'ll also spot terrific supporting components, like Ron Francis wiring on a 12-volt system, a newer alternator, and a newer battery. They build these to be real drivers, and so the rebuilt three-speed manual transmission now includes a custom clutch and flywheel assembly. The suspension is lowered and includes Fatman steering arms and a C3 Corvette-adapted front disc brakes kit.
This is a full custom build that has the quality and condition that makes it quite easy to enjoy. And you know you\'d expect to pay a lot more for a car with this level of custom work and celebrity status. So don\'t miss out, call today!
