1970 Dodge Coronet
For 1970, consumers could choose from 17 Coronet models with standard equipment such as full-width bench seats dressed in cloth and vinyl, a heater and defroster, cigarette lighter, 19-gallon fuel tank, self-adjusting brakes and fiber glass belter tires.
The 500 represents with all-vinyl interior, carpeting, 3-spoke steering wheel, a 318 V8 engine and more than 20 additional safety features. Optional console in the front and fold-down center armrest or optional bucket seats in the back.
Coronet R/T features both a hood and side scoops including bucket seats and carpeting inside. Standard engine is a 440 magnum and either a TorqueFlite automatic transmission or 4-speed full-synchro with Hurst shifter.
The Super Bee is equipped with a 383 Magnum V8 engine and a full-synchro 3-speed manual transmission. Or choose between a 4-speed manual and TorqueFlite automatic for an additional cost. New for 1970 is the optional SixPack 440-cube V8 engine which boasts three two-barrels perched on a special intake manifold, perched on a Premium 440. Also available in 1970 were the following colors: Plum Crazy, Sublime, Banana, Go-Mango, and Hemi Orange.

The first Paint Code identifies the roof or accent color. The second Paint Code identifies the body color. (For example, the combination W1-B3 on a Dodge would indicate the roof or accent area is in White and the body is finished in Light Blue Metallic.) Paint code plates are located in the engine compartment on the left wheel housing or the left fender side shield.
