1965 Chevrolet Corvair
One of the most affordable Chevrolet's for 1965 was the Corvair.

1965 Chevrolet Corvair

The 1965 Corvair received more than a face lift from the previous year, it was equipped with more power and more room and hardtop styling. A new 140 hp Turbo-Air engine is available for all models and standard on the Corsa while a 180 hp Turbo Charged engine was also available. The Corvair also features a unitized Body by Fisher, 4-wheel independent suspension, and an air-cooled rear engine. Unfortunately for the Corvair, is was beginning to build a reputation as being unsafe. Along with the fact that it hadn't changed much over the years and the Chevy II was gaining popularity, Corvair sales began to drop.
