| Vehicle Description |
DART VADER
This might be the finest Hurst Super Stock Hemi Dart, factory racecar in existence. I just returned from the All Hemi Reunion and out of approximately 25 Hemi Darts, there were only two Hemi Darts that even came close to the quality of this car. It is 1 of 53 documented. Mr. Norm of Grand Spaulding Dodge fame said it is the nicest one that he has ever seen. In the judging at the 19th Annual Mopars with Big Daddy at the Garlits Museum of Drag Racing, this car beat the car that won the Mopar Nationals. Mr. Norm and Big Daddy have autographed the inside of the trunk lid. This car was owned by Craig Jackson of Barrett-Jackson Auctions in 1989-90. Unlike most, this car is not tubbed nor roll-caged. Rebodied panel fitment is exceptional, and the paint is mirror-finish, show quality. It still has the pull-up, thin, Corning glass instead of plexiglass like most. It still has the 1968 Super Stock Hemi engine with magnesium cross-ram intake and original carbs. The 727 reversed valve-bodied transmission has been rebuilt with performance parts and new J.W. torque converter. It has the correct 8 3/4 rear with 4:86 gears. I have installed a new original replica Mopar Super Stock battery, starter, NOS radiator cap, and the correct screened velocity stacks. Fiberglass hood and front fenders, acid thinned doors, thin glass, no window cranks, no radio, no heater, no back seat, no frills: JUST RACE. Car comes with the original Bill of Sale, clean Florida title, and other documentation. When the exhaust is uncapped, people come running from a 1/4 mile away. With the exhaust capped, the exhaust goes through mufflers so that the car can be driven on the street legally. Cars not near this quality have sold for $400,000. This car was shown with Mr. Norm's GSS Hemi Dart at The All Chrysler Show at Carlisle, PA. Please, please, please call only if you are a serious buyer. Thanks for your consideration. Own a piece of history. DON'T WANT TO SELL, BUT MUST! Due to the economy, I have lowered the asking price to $225,000 or best offer. These cars will be back in the $400,000 range soon. Make a reasonable offer. You never know! Interesting trades plus cash will be considered. Call Brent for more info and body numbers and VIN @ (561) 236-8799. |
