A longer hood on the 1970 AMX accomodates the air scoop which feeds a 360 V8 engine. |
1970 AMC AMX
AMX received a 2 inch longer and a half inch lower profile along with a restyled front end and tail lamps for 1970. With an increase in price and a decrease in sales the 1970 AMX offered the standard 360 cid V8 rated at 290 hp. Most excitingly was on top of the hood, which included the new introduction of the Ram-Air induction scoop. As with Javelin, AMX features special safety windshield. This would be the last year for true two-seat AMX production.
