This 1953 Chevrolet 3100 is an awesome kind of vintage pickup with a glossy and thoughtful crafted two-tone. And the full restoration really kept this clean over every inch, right down to the undercarriage.
This two-tone presentation shines as bright as your nostalgia. After all, the red and white combo is as all-American as pulling an ice-cold Coca-Cola from an icebox. In fact, don't you just think a vintage Coke cooler would look awesome in the truck bed? Then again, we also bet you want to showcase every inch of that glossy wood. That's because you can really tell there was a lot of thought that went into this Chevy's detail-oriented restoration. Even the whitewall tires with red wheels have a great classic style that matches with the whole truck. Plus, you'll love all the brightwork with the bumpers, trim, badging, bezels, wheel covers, and iconic five piece grille all having a mirror-like shine from a solid investment. And while they took the time to make this a stunner, you'll also appreciate the little things. The doors that shut solid, the fit of the tailgate, the clean glass, and more all add up to a feeling of quality that will keep you smiling.
The interior continues the feeling of a vintage machine that has also had fresh investments. And we especially love how the two-tone red and white return on the doors and dash. There is a great classic truck feel with the sturdy basic elements, like the large steering wheel and vintage gauges. But you can also tell this has been upgraded for a cleaner/fresher style in places like the excellent bench seat and durable floor mats. This is built to be a cruiser, and so you'll see some subtle upgrades, like the provisions for an AM/FM radio with satellite controller (it will need servicing to fully function again.) And the sliding rear window is an innovation from later pickups that really lets the breezes flow through the cab for ideal ventilation.
There was plenty more attention to detail under the hood. This is a 235 cubic-inch Thriftmaster inline six. It's the large/optional motor you could have had in 1953, and it's presentation today looks like you turned back the clock to that year. Everything really looks tidy and correct - from the painted blue block to the decal on the oil bath air cleaner. The motor starts and runs as cleanly as it looks. You take control of this powerhouse the old-fashioned way with the column-shifted three-speed manual transmission.
Complete with owner's manual, this is a restored pickup that's highly detailed to ignite your favorite memories while also giving you some new adventures. This is the best in nostalgia, and it's ready to hit the road right now.
