Very desirable custom truck with the features people want- air conditioning, power steering and power disc brakes.
EXTERIOR: Solid, straight all metal body, bed and fenders. The trim and emblems were removed and filled for a clean look. It has a relocated flush mount fuel door. Rear bumper was removed for a clean look, it is included. The sublime green color really stands out! The paint presents itself very well but has flaws. New windshield, tinted glass. The vent windows were removed for 1 piece door windows. It has the "big" back window. It rolls on 20 inch Motor Sport wheels and performance tires.
INTERIOR: Quiet ride sound deadener. The metal is painted like the outside. It has a mid 70s Camaro dash custom fit, includes tachometer and gauges. It has a Grant wheel on a tilt column. Sport bucket seats hold you in place, has seat belts. Door panels, headliner and visors are upholstered to match. It has power windows.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Rebuilt 350 motor is decked out with aluminum trim. Matched set of valve covers, brackets, plug wire holders, breathers and air cleaner. It has an endurashine intake, Edelbrock carb with electric choke, Mallory ignition and headers. A big aluminum radiator, water pump, overflow bottle and custom shroud along with an electric fan keeps it cool. The passengers are kept comfortable with a modern heat and air conditioning system. Polished compressor, the hoses run behind the fender. The engine bay is clutter free, custom firewall and inner fenders, all painted green.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Custom tailgate has a Chevy bowtie embossed in it and custom latches. The wood slats are solid but the finish is aging. The stainless slats and hardware are mint. The walls are solid, straight and painted nice.
UNDERSIDE: The frame was welded up and painted. Fat man independent front suspension. It has chrome tubular control arms, chrome coils over gas adjustable shocks, rack & pinion steering. 5 link rear suspension with chrome tubular control arms and coilover adjustable gas shocks. Custom made Scotts dual exhaust with welded joints, crossover pipe, Flowmaster mufflers and chrome tips. Power disc brakes at all 4 wheels. Custom aluminum fuel tank. It has a chrome oil pan and high torque starter. Rebuilt Turbo 350 auto with chrome pan. 3.73 gears in the Currie Ford 9 inch rear. Solid metal floors.
There are multiple custom 1955 Chevy trucks on the market right now from $100,000 to $160,000, this is not one of those. It's not a pristine show truck but it is an outstanding head turner. It's well built with the features people want. Drive and enjoy it!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.
