| The Chevrolet Nova was first offered in 1962 as the Chevy II. In 1964 the Nova gained appreciation in the muscle car battle with the availability of its first V8. Chevrolet enthusiasts could now add more horsepower to the Nova, including the optional mighty 375hp 396 V8, making the Nova the ultimate sleeper, and a true reflection of budget performance.
