1978 Dodge Li'l Red Express

The Li'l Red Express came fully equipped from the factory and was a Dodge D150 Adventurer model with a Utiline body style and built on a 115" wheelbase. The exterior is Bright Canyon Red and inside there was red or black interior trim. Gold Li'l RED EXPRESS TRUCK decals decorated the side doors and a gold Li'l RED TRUCK decal was displayed on the tailgate. Gold accent stripes accentuate the wheel openings while raised white outline letter radial tires with steel chrome five slot disc wheels polish off the overall look. Special dual exhaust system with chrome-plated vertical tailpipes and heat shields are mounted behind the cab. The Li'l Red came equipped with a 360 V8 engine with four-barrel carburetor, automatic transmission, and power steering. Consequently, the Li'l RED TRUCK was not available for sale in California, Florida, Maryland, Oregon and Washington and did not meet special noise standards in certain locations. Car and Driver magazine rated the Lil Dodge Express as the fastest American made vehicle from 0 to 100 mph.
