1971 Ford Econoline

Available again in either 105.5 in or 123.5 in wheelbase, the Econoline provides a maximum GVW rating of 4,500, 5,400 or 8,300 lbs.  Combined with strong construction, high capacity axles and other components, the E300 Series has the payload capacity of up to 4,320 lbs.  The square-wall design gives 64 inches of width at the roof.   Econoline vans could be transformed to meet a consumer’s expectations.  From Electronic Service Van to Ambulance’s to Refrigerated Vans,  the Econoline can be modified to fit your needs. Standard is the 240 cubic inch 6 cylinder engine while an optional 302 cubic inch V8 provides 205 hp. Power steering and SelectShift Cruise-O-Matic transmission is also a standard option.  Two forged-steel I-Beam front axles anchored with forged steel radius rods gives the Ford Econoline smoothness and strength.  Club Wagons were much the same as the Econoline, except they were produced as passenger vans.
