The 1969 AMC Rebel

1969 AMC Rebel

Gone was the 550 and 770 series, the 1969 AMC Rebel was available in basic and SST models, plus there was no longer a convertible option. A few styling changes were made including a wider track, restyled rear deck and taillights, headlight bezels and a new grille. In comparison, the 1969 AMC Rebel was one of the lowest priced 2-door hardtops on the market; less than the Ford Falcon, Dodge Dart and Chevy Corvair. It also offered more horsepower than the standard compact.
