DESCRIPTION

These affordable, fun and nimble German sports cars have really come into their own on the classic market. This unmodified and highly original 1974 Porsche 914 has a great color combo, the right features, and the unmistakable feeling of a true driving machine engineered in Stuttgart.

The design of the 914 was one of the most interesting Porsches ever made. It follows the same principal of the 911 that made sure the tall fender line allows one to understand where the front edges of the car were, but then it adds a completely sleek front end with the aid of pop-up headlights. The factory-correct Saturn Yellow seems to be the ideal color for this Porsche. Combined with the crisp look on the black bumpers and black targa roof, this has a beautiful distinct and contrasting total package.

Highlights:
1.8-Litre engine
Fuel injection
5-speed transmission
4-wheel disc brakes
Highly original and unmodified car
Runs and drives great
Correct factory wheels and spare
Repainted and finished in beautiful Saturn Yellow

With a highly original black interior to show off, there is another great reason to drive around with the targa top removed. The cool Sapphire XVIII radio is not currently working, but looks great and the dash remains unaltered in this classic. This was built to be a true driver\'s machine. The bucket seats, a well-placed gearshift, and the classic sports steering wheel offer the true vintage Porsche experience.

It is hard not to look in the engine bay and make comparisons to the modern Boxster. The 1.8-liter flat-four motor is mounted in the center to give you the best balance on the road. And just like the Boxster, this setup allows for two trunks. The wheels are still the factory originals, as is the spare wheel still occupying the correctly trimmed rear trunk. This Porsche runs like a well-done fuel-injected powerplant should. You get to make the most of it all thanks to the control that comes from a five-speed manual transmission. With a car this well-balanced, you will also love the fully independent suspension and four-wheel disc brakes. It makes for a total package that will have you constantly looking for the long and winding road home.

Completely stock and unmodified Porsches from this era are exceedingly hard to find, making this 1974 Porsche 914 a rare find for any collector that appreciates originality. Call today!
