The Chevrolet Nomad Station Wagon was first introduced as a proto-type Corvette Nomad at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City in 1954. It has ever since been called the "WALDORF".
The Chevy Nomad two-door sport wagon was produced from 1955 - 1957.
However, in 1958 - 1961 Chevrolet continued the Nomad model name on it's traditional top-line four-door station wagon in its Bel Air model series.
