The 1971 Pontiac Firebird saw few changes. High-back seats, new wheel covers and all models except the Trans Am, had simulated louvers behind the front wheels. As GM had to meet the standards for the new emissions engine options were significantly altered with much less performance being offered. Performance was now on the decline!
