With the success of the '64, sales were up the next year on for the Plymouth Barracuda. |
1965 Plymouth Barracuda
Much stayed the same in 1965 for the Plymouth Barracuda. The big news was the introduction of the new "Formula S" performance option that included the Commando V8, upgraded suspension, wheels, and tires, and a standard tachometer. Still far from being considered true performance and muscle, the standard 170 slant six was replaced by the 225 Slant Six as the standard engine. 1965 Sales were up as 64,596 were produced. Engine options consisted of a 225 slant six with 145 hp, a 273 V8 with 180 hp and a 273 V8 with 235 hp.1965 Plymouth Barracuda Production
