1968 Plymouth Barracuda
In 1968 the Barracuda was restyled with minor changes, and the bigger news remained the greater availability of engine options and the reintroduction of the 225 Slant Six engine. The top of the line 383 received a power boost and the 273 cid engines were retired. Enhancing a more performance image Plymouth built a small number of Hemi powered Barracudas for professional drag racers. Engine options consisted of a 225 slant six with 145 hp, a 318 V8 with 230 hp, a 340 V8 with 275 hp, and a 383 V8 with 300 hp.1968 Plymouth Barracuda Production
