With much success for the previous year of '62 the Wildcat received some new styling changes for 1963 as well as becoming a model of it's own instead of the previous year as a part of the Invicta line. An even sportier Buick the Wildcat was now scripted on the rear fenders, within the rear cove, and across the front of the hood. A custom grille with distinct horizontal bars and a center emblem adorned the front. As before the 401 cid V8 rated at 325 hp carried over from previous the year.
Standard features consisted of a Deluxe steering wheel, electric clock, trunk light, license frames, padded instrument panel, tachometer (except on hardtops with front bench), foam-rubber headliner, center console and bucket seats (optional on 4-dr hardtop). Full wheel covers also distinguished the Wildcat.
Model Production consisted of 17,519 4-Door Hardtops, 12,185 2-Door Hardtop's and 6,021. 2-Door Convertible's |
