This is the last 1940 Ford Limousine known to exist! In 1940, the U.S. Military commissioned the Sebiert''s Custom Supreme Coach Builders to build 8 limousines for U.S. war effort. Six of them actually went to war and two were left behind in the U.S. The six that went to war were destroyed and never came back to the States. Of the two remaining Limo''s, one was stationed at an Air Force Base in Maryland and the other in Texas. The limousine at the Maryland Base is no longer there and there is no data on its whereabouts. The Limousine up for sale is the one from the Texas Air Force Base.

After the war, this limo was purchased by the Whipple Stage Company in Prescott, Arizona and was used as a shuttle that traveled between Glendale and Phoenix, Arizona. A gentleman by the name of Len Gasper from Arizona, purchased the limo from the Whipple Stage Company we believe sometime in the late 60''s. It was then purchased from Mr. Gasper by Phil Hansen from Chicago, Illinois in the early 70''s. My client''s father then purchased the limo from Mr. Hansen in 1977. It has been in their family since that time.

The limo is 21''9" long, has 2 doors front and rear on the driver''s side and 4 doors on the passenger side. There are (2) fold down steps between the 2 doors on the driver''s side to step up on and put luggage in the top carrying compartment on the roof. The limo is 95% complete missing the rear fender and bumper. They still have the driver''s side running board which is missing in the pictures. Most of the door glass is missing but the owner has many parts, including glass that will be included with the sale. The limo was also mentioned in an October issue in Street Rodder magazine. (see pictures).

Because is so hard to put a price on sometime that there''s only one to exist, this limousine is being sold to the highest presented offer. Please contact me with any questions or to make arrangements to see the vehicle. It is located in the state of Illinois.
