Larry is one of only seven appointed judges for the Camaro Nationals Legends Concours Class. Larry is also known for high quality restoration work including both cosmetically and mechanically. Larry completed this engine in January of 2023 and directly sold it to MS CLASSIC CARS in February 2023. MS CLASSIC CARS used it as a showroom display piece. MS CLASSIC CARS has it dyno tested at Nat's Engine located in Swansea, MA on February 20th, 2024. The dyno test resulted in 451 horsepower @ 5700 RPM and 481 ft- lbs @ 4100 RPM. A dyno sheet and dyno video are included. This engine started as a factory 427/425hp V8 with casting number #3963512. The casting build date is E-7-69 which is May 7th, 1969. The 6223 steel crank shaft was turned .010-.010 and Clevite bearings were added. It has a new GM solid lifter Camshaft with 425hp spec .022-.24. The GM 427 dimple rods were rebuilt with new 7/16 full floating bolts. It has new 11-1 closed chamber forged pistons with Moly file fit rings. It has an original GM restored square port intake with casting #3933163. The 1969 style chrome valve covers were replated for a factory correct appearance. The oil pan is a correct for a 1969 Camaro. The engine was completely balanced. The engine was setup with an original Holley #4346 4-barrel carburetor that's dated 921. The carburetor was completely restored and recolored. It also has an original distributor dated 1969, correct 293 coil and bracket, spark plug wires dated 1Q69 and AC spark plugs. Some of the other parts include a correct thermostat housing, new fuel pump with correct line to pump and manual transmission flywheel. MS CLASSIC CARS gave the engine a new coat of paint and did some fine detailing. A new engine stand is included. Finding a comparable 427 engine to this one will be a difficult task. This engine is perfect for anyone looking to do a 1969 Camaro COPO or Yenko replica. It would also make a great engine for any muscle car from this generation or custom build. Someone might also purchase it as a future investment. Either way, it's a great opportunity! From the MS CLASSIC CARS Collection.
