Mercury Montclair

The Mercury Montclair name was first seen in 1955 as it was applied to the top of the lineup series and included extra chrome and a two tone paint scheme. In 1957 the Montclair name had a step down as the turnpike cruiser was featured at the top. In 1958 the Mercury Turnpike Cruiser joined the Montclair line and Mercury designated the top of the line model as the Mercury Park Lane. Mercury discontinued the Montclair and Park Lane model names in 1961 and in 1964 resurrected the models and offered them through the end of the 1968 model year and replaced them with the Monterey Custom.
