Yep, she’s just got two many doors, but hey, it reflects in the extremely reasonable reserve value. 500 miles on the pro build, strong V8 and all else is great. Then you look into the build and one should ask “Why?”. Well, simply put, it is to go fast in a subtle old body.

Prior to 2020, not much is known about this Nova. Purchased as a roller, it was all about building a street fighter in a fun little package. Owned by a professional mechanic, his shop gets these side projects, builds them up, has a bit of fun and then sells. 500 miles since build, she’s ready for market. Clean and clear title in Owner's name.

It’s too bad she’s a sedan, but what a grocery getter! Originally a black car, she’s got a high-end blue wrap on her. Under the wrap are some flaws, but no cancer, no wrinkles and really clean lines. Rust was cut out and replaced during the construction. All lights, signals, and wipers function properly. Chrome and brightwork show good, but up close a little patina is starting to reveal.

All new black vinyl OEM has been installed. From headliner to carpet, seat upholstery to door panels, they were installed as part of the 2020 construction. All windows and their functions are nice. Dash has a new factory styled speedo, corrected to the original’s mileage, all other gauges are new aftermarkets. Accessories like climate controls, wipers, knobs all function correctly. Interior lighting is operable.

Let the fight begin. SBC 350 cid is pumped up and put out. Steel crank, pop-ups, roller rockers a’top those Camel Hump heads (2.02), then sits a Victor Jr intake supporting a monstrous Holley 750 double pumper. New 4 core radiator, MSD ignition, bracketing, etc, she’s just a clean n new build. Four wheel drums have been rebuilt and perform excellent. Backing the motor is a built TH350 with, get this, a 3200 stall converter! Finish with a built Corp 10 bolt, geared to 3.10’s. All ball joints, tie rods, bushing, bearing have been replaced with oem components.

An objective and spirited report was issued by a certified third-party inspector. Spirited in that it appears said Inspector loved this car. Sure, a few flaws were noted, some speculative items might be under that blue wrap, but her performance and drivability were noted as superb. Pro built, pro-formance.

Take an old car and bring her back to life is a rebuild; take one more step towards performance, that is a hot rod. Take it to win, ready for light to light running, well, that is the level known as a street fighter. Pure, simple, grand components and clean ol’ style, well, that’s just a fun car.
