1966 Ford Mustang

It\'s hard not to love an early Mustang. Ford\'s fun-loving Pony Car was a blast to drive and made it easy to make friends anywhere it went. But, if there was one small complaint about the Mustang\'s beginnings, it was that it wasn\'t quite the beefiest muscle car on the block until some years later. However, this particular 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback has remedied those issues and created the ultimate early Pony Car.

Cloaked in a beautiful Nightmist Blue paint, this Mustang did away with the respectable 289 V-8 and replaced it with a big-boy 351 cubic-inch Windsor small-block Ford topped with a four-barrel Holley carb, Edelbrock aluminum intake, MSD ignition, and trick valve covers with \"351\" emblazoned on them to let the world know this is no ordinary \'66 \'Stang. That motor\'s power is funneled through a modern Tremec TKX five-speed manual transmission, which allows for better acceleration as well as improved fuel economy at highway speeds versus the original car\'s three-speed auto or four-speed manual.

Riding high on its independent front and leaf spring rear suspension, power disc brakes at all four corners hide behind 14-inch wheels shod in Galaxy Radial G/T rubber measuring 205/70R-14 all working in unison to keep this powerful stallion glued to the road.

Inside, the jet-black interior is highlighted by a wood-rimmed GT steering wheel and Hurst shifter. The big speedometer sits front and center of the driver, flanked by two gauges on either side to keep tabs on all pertinent info the Mustang has to offer. The odometer reads just 42,727 miles, and while we don\'t have official confirmation of this number, the condition of this beautiful car seems to point to a very light-duty life to this point.
