1959 Chevrolet Bel Air Impala
Great rear styling, but overall pretty bad cars. After 1960,GMs big cars took on more reasonable dimensions and shapes.
Belair Impala? I know Impala came out in 58 and Belair long before that. Guess it may mean it can be either? I had a 58 and 59. Both would slide the rear end more in a tight cruve going too fast than my leaf springs 55 and 57 would. My 63 was better. Guess it took a while to tune them in more from the factory. Always think of 348 and 3x2 when I see a 59.
Those big tail lights got me put in jail when the brakelight switch stuck and I got locked up.
By now there should be some after repair pictures of this one.
I love these...my dad used to have two of them, both purchased new off the showroom floor!
Hydroplane why not it has the wings for it but in great condition I'd be more inclined to just cruise it nice and slow and watch the passers by gaze in awe at it's beauty just love those tail lights the most extreme to date
the body still looks good
never had a problem with mine at 100+.flat out 117 mph in 2nd gear any time.
i heard these hydroplaned at 100 mph on the highways....
this is my all time favorite body style
nice body
