I have the full working tailgate purchased for. 1980 F150 pick up. See the pic which shows the placement of the FORD lettering on the tailgate.

I don't believe so. 1980 - 1986 is the same body & sheet metal. 1987 had new sheet metal but tailgate may have been the same.
