One I drive it has a 348 in it the other I just bought and haven't even opened the hood. Revision to question on December 29, 2009 I finally got to open the hood on my new lawn ornament. I think this late 50's early 60's Viking series 60 has what I believe is a 283 engine in it. looks like the last owner had it running. it's got new plugs, wires, distributor cap a few things like that. I haven't tried starting it (-22f yesterday). It has a 283 cu ft engine. Which numbers do I need to tell for sure what I have? I'm thinking that I will put the two trucks together to make one so I'll also have the cab to a Viking series 40.

Seems like you would be able to get anywhere from $1000 to $5000 for them.

These trucks are duall wheel one tons. One is a cab and chassis the one I use has a dump bed on it, I think they were just work trucks. Single head lights big fenders a three speed tranny. the 348 engine seems to be a good one, had one guy tell me he used to try to make hot rods using the 348, he thinks it was to heavy good work truck engine. No pics I'll see what I can come up with
