If my memory is correct Ford didn't keep tabs or release model numbers by drive train (ie cubic inch displacement or trans type) it was either 6 cyl or 8 cyl . Unfortunately my reference book that I've used forever cant be located at this moment. The Marti Auto Works Group bought all of Ford production info for 67-2007 and for a fee will tell you what your asking,but yours is a 65. I own a 63 XL Fastback to which their were 34000+ V8s produced in a run of almost 700,000 1963 Fords (all models). If I were you I would try the Galaxie Club of America site as they have a large resource (people & data) of info on Galaxies but you might have to join to find out more exact numbers. With a bit more research you should at least find the number of 65 XL V8 convertibles produced.... good luck
