by looking at the VIN number how can I tell the production number of my spider. they only made around 6000 or so. when was mine made in production?

The last 6 digits of the vin code is the sequence number of production. Most GMs start with 100001. There is now way to tell positive when it was built. All Covairs and all GM just run in order. You can take a wild guess if you take the number and divide it by the months of production if you know the total amount built and when they start and ended. Clear as mud:)
