Hello, I am trying to find information on my 66 stang. I know a few things about it. It's an A code and a real GT. It would be nice if I could get the bill of sale, owners, details on what was on the car when sold etc.... Can someone please help. I am trying to restore my car to give to my son when he gets older and I want all or any documents/info that i can get. thanks.
66sprint200, thanks for the correction, I must put my glasses...I though it said 68.
herstory, You can only get a Marti Report if you have a 1967 or newer Mustang.
Some cars have original documentation such as a bill of sale, from the factory. Many do not, however, you can order a Production Report from Marti Auto Works, which will give you the details of what the car was ordered with new.

Other than decoding the door tag, located on the side of the drivers door below the door latch, there isn't much you can learn about your car unless you have the original bill of sale, dealer sheet, build sheet, etc. Ford disposed of the 64.5, 65, and 66 records to make way for the 67 and up records, so there is no information on the early years. There is a site I have included where you can decode your door tag. It will tell you the date it was ordered to be built, what plant it was built in, where it was sent to be sold (DSO), what its unit number is, body style, exterior colour, interior colour, standard, bench, or deluxe interior, engine, transmission, rear axle ratio. Hope this helps you.
