The 454 engine code CGV comes up as a 1970 engine 454, 345hp with manual transmission but the car is a turbo 400 automatic on the column. The car also has 12 bolt rear and factory a/c but has manual drum brakes on the front. I know this was a strike year and GM did some unusual things but this one doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The stamped number on the front pad is T0428CGV which is April 28 and the car build date is 03D, the last week of March. I'm obviously trying to figure out if this is a real car or something made up. I'm leaning toward it being a real car but it's going to be expensive so I have to be careful. There is no second number on the pad to match up the vin#. I know there are a lot of knowledgeable folks out there so any help would be appreciated. Thanks Steve
