there is a wt. difference, have not find any detail or pictures, need help

I believe convertibles have a box frame whereas sedans use c-frame this of course would not be true for unibody construction.
cannot say for sure but earlier convert frames were boxed < 4 sided > .the sedans and wagons were 3 sided open to inside of car . that would account for a weight difference.
